Tell us about yourself?

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve launched several business and social ventures, performed consulting services for big and large companies, and sat on the board of various industry associations. My family and I moved to Oakville, Ontario, in December 2017, where I took on the CEO role of a digital gaming company. In February of 2022, after taking the company through Covid and a number of new product releases, I decided to step down as CEO and pursue my passions. I have always loved activating new ventures, strategy development, systems development and helping staff reach their full potential. As an entrepreneur, I have also experienced burnout a couple of times and the vicissitudes of startups.

I wanted to take all of that experience and provide it in a total-solution package that focuses on both owner well-being and business success, so BizBoost.ca was born. We combine business consulting with medical care and wellness expertise to provide a total boost to owners and their businesses.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

One of the areas that is of vital importance to any business that is seeking to leverage its financial success to generate more success is strategic CAPEX. How to make excellent CAPEX decisions has been one of my key personal growth areas over the past two years. So the best advice I could give myself two years ago would be to take the time to create an internal ranking tree that would use strategic impact, risk metrics, financial value, internal know-how, and market movement to create an overall investment score that could be used to speed up and validate CAPEX decisions.

What problem does your business solve?

We focus on three core areas:

Personal Performance: We understand what it takes to lead a business. Our Personal Performance BOOST combines decades of business, medical and wellness experience into a holistic approach to coaching that produces real results.

Internal Business Systems: We develop and implement bespoke business systems that produce predictable and sustainable performance. We take great care to ensure the requisite training and coaching take place to ensure systems are effectively implemented.

External Business Action: Success is all about consistent efforts in the right direction. Our External Action BOOST helps businesses determine the best efforts and direction for future growth.
Our Sales and Marketing solution is underpinned by current research and helps you achieve better marketing returns.

What is your magic sauce?

We have a holistic approach to business success. You can’t have a successful business without people who have the capacity to carry it forward, and without good business systems, sound management, clear strategy, and successful marketing. We provide services that solve all of these issues.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

I want to expand services into the US and add extra expertise to the team specifically around funding: government programs, grants, VC.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Capturing 20+ years of knowledge and experience into shareable content.
