Amir Harandi

Artintech is a technology provider based in Toronto, Canada. We have been developing technologies for SME companies since 2016, and our vision is to help businesses eliminate all unnecessary manual work and move towards automation and digital transformation. Our main product is a SaaS ERP (Artintech ERP) that covers Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and Quality Management functional areas with more than 20 software modules from procurement and warehouse management to non-conformance and inspection. Now, we have partner companies presenting our products all around North America and internationally in more than 25 countries.

Tell us about yourself?

My degree is in engineering, and later I got my MBA, PMP, and finally, my Ph.D. in Strategic Management with a focus on Technology related businesses. Since 1998, I have been actively involved in technology development and business consulting. I have seen the challenges that industries are dealing with and the technologies that can quickly help them. Following my passion and observing the business value that digital transformation could bring to companies, I started Artintech in 2016, and we have been growing since then.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

If I could go back in time, I would have probably done the same thing, just a little bit more aggressively. Artintech has incredible mentors, and I think we have been moving in the right direction. There are try-and-errors every now and then, but overall, especially in the past few years, we have grown fast, and I think with the same growth rate, we should be able to continue as a significant player in the market.

What problem does your business solve?

Artintech

Our systems reduce the cost of operation, reduce human errors, reduce workload, and, more importantly, provide decision-makers with real-time visibility over their entire operations. Without a proper system, making proper decisions and creating the kind of profitability a company deserves is not easy. Our systems help employees of all levels have a centralized data point, better collaborate across departments, and create synergy.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The main inspiration for me is human potential. It isn’t very pleasant to see so many talented workers spend hour after hour doing things machines can easily do. People should focus on creative and innovative works. Asking people to use their time and energy to manually fill out forms and reports and do the repetitive works that could be done automatically with a click or two is like using gold and diamond to make a can opener! This is painful and the primary motivation behind all we do.

What is your magic sauce?

We work very closely with industry experts while developing our modules. The result is a unique simplicity! Unlike many other ERP systems, Artintech ERP is easy to implement and learn yet powerful. Our industry advisors ensure that in the software architecture and design process, we avoid unnecessary things and focus on the real needs of the industrial units. Usually, a significant barrier to digital transformation is the heavy investment involved and the difficulty of implementation and usage. We have removed these barriers.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

In the next five years, Artintech will expand in three dimensions: Geographically, we will keep expanding our presence internationally. In functionality, we keep introducing new modules and improving the existing ones. And in industrial verticals, we will explore new ways we can help industries as a whole. Our goal is to maintain accelerating growth and become digital transformation’s ultimate choice.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

A significant challenge is educating the public and decision-makers on the benefits they can drive from a proper digital system. The fear of high investment in traditional ERPs and long implementation times creates inherent resistance. We have worked with several associations to educate their members on the ROI they will gain by investing in proper digital systems and how modern SaaS ERPs allow for affordable and easy-to-use solutions to be available.

How can people get involved?

We always encourage industry experts to educate themselves on the operations and functionalities of the ERP. Also, we provide consulting on how our systems can improve their quality of work, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve real-time visibility on the workflow. Our website (www.artintech.ca) is an excellent place to start. You can check the website, and if you like what you see, you can always ask for a free trial. Also, you can use the contact form to request a complete demo and free consultation.
