Andrew O’Brien

We are a global leading full-service podcast production firm. We help our clients engage better through more authentic, humanized content. Obie & Ax Inc is headquartered in Toronto and our sister company O&A United is headquartered in Delaware.

Tell us about yourself?

I come with over 25 years of sales and entrepreneurial experience and have been selling solutions to multi-billion dollar entities. I love to innovate and be creative, so it’s a natural fit to help companies take off the handcuffs to be unconventional.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Take more breaths and enjoy the small wins. It’s all about the now.

What problem does your business solve?

We solve the gap in communication between clients and their audience.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I am 4 years clean from active addiction, and I used the podcast as a platform to share my story. The guests on my show soon wanted my team and I to help build a podcast of their own for them. Thus, Obie & Ax were born.

What is your magic sauce?

Our award-winning team of professionals offer a luxury end-to-end podcast series to the world’s largest companies and government. We have also aligned ourselves with the former Deputy Director and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the CIA as O&A’s Chief Strategist. She will help our clients communicate complex messaging through critical thinking guidance as well as align Diversity and Inclusion efforts to better connect their internal teams and community.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We would like to maintain consistent growth year after year, and if we can acquire more competitors and/or assets, that’s always a win.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Wild growth. This is a wonderful problem to have, but it’s imperative to constantly be ahead of the curve and have top-tier talent readily available.

How can people get involved?
