Tenantcube is an end-to-end property management software platform for DIY landlords enabling them to manage their properties from any device and anywhere. We help landlords spend more time with their family by automating property management through technology.

Tell us about yourself?

I moved to Canada in 2009 as an International student with years of enterprise software sales experience at Zoho. When I graduated, I was one of the early members of Freshworks, a company publicly trading on Nasdaq. Slowly acquired a few rental properties in Canada and quickly realized the lack of a good platform for small landlords like myself. Real estate investing is not passive, and I wanted to help other landlords spend more time with their family while being able to rent their properties with confidence. Thus Tenantcube was born out of my necessity to save time.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Start small and grow slowly; we have made some mistakes trying to solve every problem and growing too fast. Lost focus along the way but glad we took corrective action at the right time.

What problem does your business solve?

Finding the right tenant and managing rental properties takes a lot of time and effort. Small mistakes cost a lot, deterring people from investing in real estate, which in turn has created a lot of housing issues in our country. We make managing properties easy and enable landlords to expand their portfolios.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

My first tenant was an armed robber and a drug dealer, I spent weeks of sleepless nights and tons of cash to recover my home from that mistake. Later, I realized I am not alone; every day you read about hundreds of landlords struggling to manage their properties. We help landlords find good tenants and keep them longer.

What is your magic sauce?

We focus on a niche that our competition ignores; the small landlords are too small for enterprise solutions. Their chatbots would not talk to me when I was looking for a solution. There are other point products that only solve a small piece of the problem, we are an end-to-end platform to manage everything related to renting. What we do is something no one can replicate.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Tenantcube Team
Tenantcube Team

We want to become the trusted platform for small landlords and good tenants across North America. Renting a car is easy and why should renting a home be difficult? We want to simplify and disrupt the renting industry.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Small landlords are difficult to find, and they require a lot more hand holding. We are passionate enough to provide the support and ensure they get the best out of our platform.

How can people get involved?

If you are small landlord like me and people have told you that you are too small. Welcome to Tenantcube.
