Anthony Deluca

Deluca Media Group is a content creator and talent agency that is trying to revolutionize the way creators are being managed. From social strategy and content creation to brand negotiations and art direction, our team was designed to help creators build every aspect of their online businesses. We view content creators as complex businesses that need complex systems to help them scale, so by providing talent with the resources to grow faster than they would on their own, we are essentially incubating talent to become superstars.

Tell us about yourself?

After becoming one of YouTube’s rising stars in the Men’s Fashion and Lifestyle category years ago, I decided to focus less on creating content for myself and pivoted to helping other creators scale, achieve virality, and ultimately build sustainable revenue streams that could lead to multi-million dollar businesses. I’ve suffered at the hands of mismanagement and terrible network contracts in the past, and I knew if it was happening to me, this is clearly a more core issue that needs to be addressed in the industry.

I took my experience being a creator and understanding the management aspect of our business and built a model that could duplicate the experience for talent and grow them quickly!

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

You are only as good as your team, so learn to delegate. I think most business owners try to do it all for fear of the work not being done to a certain standard, but I’ve learned that in order for a business to grow, it takes a village. Trust your team, and everything will fall into place.

What problem does your business solve?

At DMG, we are helping creators fulfill every aspect of the creative process. We don’t just tackle their brand opportunities but help them make better content from the outset to attract the brands of their dreams. We believe that great content is found, and in order for our creators to rise to the top, we need to help them craft every part of the experience. Most creators do not have the bandwidth or resources to build internal teams quickly, so I am trying to fill those roles for them so they have the ability to make creative and business choices they wouldn’t have been able to make on their own.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

My business was inspired by the idea that, as a content creator myself, I truly struggled with competing against creators who had larger followings or more access to brand budgets and resources. I wanted to give really talented people a chance at being seen and provide them with the tools to grow in ways they could never have imagined. I am trying to change the way the influencer management agency industry operates, and I hope to continue to be a voice for my talent and creators everywhere!

What is your magic sauce?

At DMG, we provide a holistic approach to management. By providing filming studios, branding teams, production resources, management and PR all in-house, our creators are able to get a complete one-stop curated experience to solve every problem in their creator lifecycle. By providing weekly audience metrics, analysis, and growth strategy sessions, our internal team looks to grow talent in every way!

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

My major goal is to help many of our clients launch their own personal brands and incubate them in the same way we scale talent. I want my creators to become multi-seven figures brands themselves while launching consumer-facing products that their own viewers can shop. I would love to be able to have a roster of talent and brands simultaneously.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

With shrinking brand budgets due to economic issues all around the world, we have had to get creative with driving revenue for clients. But all great businesses find ways to pivot and grow, so while it has been a challenge at times, it has made us more innovative in our approach!
