NRC Industries was founded in 1965 by Norbert Pigeon in a small workshop on the family’s farm in Sainte-Madeleine, Quebec. The company was initially called Norbert Pigeon Enr’G and offered ornamental iron and truck box manufacturing as well as general welding services. In 1975, the company obtained its first patent, which was for a hydraulic underlift.
