The Shepherd’s Dream concept originated in California in 1997. The Canadian arm was started by the founder’s sister in 2002. They source their wool for smaller products from Canada, but the wool for larger products, such as their mattresses, is sourced from California. This is due to the processing required, which is not currently available in Canada.
This small by-choice business hand-makes their products. They also source and offer organic cotton bed linens that are made in Vancouver. There are many benefits to woolen bed products which include being chemical-free, comfortably soft, and durable. It is also a sustainable and eco-friendly material.
