We help photographers make a living doing what they love. Sprout Studio is a web-based all-in-one studio management suite for professional wedding and portrait photographers to help them run their businesses and give their clients a remarkable experience.

Tell us about yourself?

I went to school for Computer Science and Business, and I’ve been a wedding and portrait photographer for 17 years. That trifecta of photography, business, and tech planted the seed for the idea that grew into Sprout Studio eight years ago.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Get deliberate about the things you spend your time and energy on, and surround yourself with people whose superpowers complement your weaknesses.

What problem does your business solve?

We help photographers make a living doing what they love. Sprout Studio is a studio management system that does it all. Photographers can say goodbye to the disorganization of other systems and get organized, make more money, and save time.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I was spending too much time in my own business trying to piece together multiple systems, and I thought, “If I have this problem, other photographers must, too!”

What is your magic sauce?

Sprout Studio is an ecosystem (suite) of tools run by photographers for photographers. We also lead with solid business systems first to help photographers be successful from the moment they start using Sprout.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Continue to help photographers in more ways and make it easier to use Sprout Studio for newer photographers.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Building a business software for a market that naturally doesn’t love business and who isn’t necessarily technically inclined.
