Inkwell Modern Handmade is a Canadian company with a storefront in Halifax, NS. It was founded by Andrea Rahal in 2011. Their retail space has two letterpresses that are used to create Inkwell’s in-house designs. Letterpress printing is now considered to be an art form – paper is fed by hand through a press and the type and image is inked and pressed into the paper. Because the press produces an impression in the paper, you can feel the result with your hands.

The company produces their own creations called Inkwell Originals and they also do custom graphic design for projects for consumers. They work collaboratively with other artisans too – they sell works by more than 200 independent artists. The main categories of products they sell are Cards, Stationery, Gifts and Decor.
