Founded in 1936, Bothwell Cheese began as a co-operative in the village of New Bothwell, Manitoba. The initiative was led by Frank Giesbrecht and Bernhard Dueck, who encouraged local volunteers to build the first cheese factory in the community with the aim to make use of their surplus milk. Over the decades, Bothwell Cheese has grown into one of Canada’s leading cheese producers and is known for crafting premium, all-natural, artisanal cheeses.
The diverse product line includes more than two dozen varieties, including traditional cheddar, Monterey Jack, and specialty flavours such as smoked gouda. Tthey use 100% pure, locally-sourced Canadian milk, which is free from artificial ingredients, preservatives, or modified milk components. The products are available nationwide at a wide range of grocery stores.
