CashFlow Tribe helps Canadians invest in real estate making the switch from investor to entrepreneur. The goal is to achieve financial freedom, bringing increased flexibility and fulfillment as a business owner.
Our company is proud to help our members leave the 9-5 grind, and rat race behind, so they can build a business that works for them, allowing them to live life on their terms. Many of our members have been so touched by the entrepreneurial spirit that those who are most successful are creating multiple businesses and brands for themselves.
CashFlow Tribe’s core values are: Community, Results, Impact, Transparency, Growth, and Celebration.
Tell us about yourself?
I’ve been building and leading teams across a variety of industries over the last almost 20 years. After rising through the ranks in different industries (car rental and IT connectivity), I began to seek greater fulfillment, wanting to build my own personal brands.
My goal was always to speak. I attend so many conferences over the years, always thinking I wanted to be one of those people on stage, helping others solve specific problems. In time, I realized I needed to learn a lot about side hustles and personal branding. I eventually started writing blog posts, doing freelance work, offering virtual coaching, creating digital products like courses and e-books, and building my podcast (The Chris Hanna Show). The skills learned doing these side hustles while working full-time in a role I didn’t get fulfillment from anymore, helped me grow immensely.
While I was happy and content as a solopreneur, I came across CashFlow Tribe as they were looking for a VP of Operations. After meeting some of the employees and Founders, I knew that there was an opportunity to make an impact and help more Canadians at scale. I joined CashFlow Tribe and 6 months later, I was promoted to CEO. It’s been a remarkable ride.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I’m someone who moves fast. Throughout my entire career, speed has driven a lot of my actions.
If I could go back in time, I would give myself the advice that sometimes, it’s ok to go slower. As a CEO for over a year now, I’ve learned that as much as I want to go faster (and usually do), I cannot expect the same of others. It’s not fair, nor is it sustainable.
What problem does your business solve?
CashFlow Tribe helps people with building and scaling their own businesses using real estate.
We offer training, education, and mentorship. More importantly, though, we focus intently on accountability and mindset. We are at the intersection of personal and professional development with our intense focus on community and results.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
When CashFlow Tribe was founded, it was because there was a lack of education in Canada on real estate investing. There were lots of people and companies having success in the United States, but not enough content in Canada. No one was focused on helping Canadians turn real estate into a business either.
Our programs that are offered are for people who are willing to take action, have a job, have more than 5 years of real estate investing experience but want to become their own boss, with the eventual goal of scaling it so they can work less with full autonomy and flexibility to do what they want.
What is your magic sauce?
Our community is the secret sauce.
The results they have achieved have been game-changing. They all want to succeed, but more importantly than that, they want to give back.
Our community helps one another, partnering together on deals and opportunities. Our most successful customers mentor other members, speak at live events, and are developing their own personal brands as a result of being successful here at CashFlow Tribe.
Regardless of the age, background, experience, or education, we have a proven model that’s shown people achieve life-changing results. Members have quit their jobs, fully replacing their income. We have members who have not only replaced their yearly income but are now making what was once their yearly income each month.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our goal is to continue to help create more businesses and partnerships, levelling out the housing crisis that is happening within Canada. Our community of entrepreneurs is creating more single-family and multi-family homes for other Canadians.
We want to have thousands of people leave their 9-5 jobs behind, to build more businesses not just in real estate but in other industries as well.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The power of community is enhanced by having them come together in person. With COVID-19, we had to pivot to more virtual events. Of course, that led to “Zoom Fatigue.”
Now that the world has been opening up, we’ve been doing more hybrid-style events to cater to the different preferences. We’re looking forward to more community-style events, to recognize and connect with our members face-to-face.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
For those looking to build a business, using real estate, people can visit www.cashflowtribe.com/join-council/ to connect with a member of our team to see if what we offer is right for them. The truth is, our programs aren’t for everyone, as we teach, challenge, and push people. The only way to grow is to push ourselves to take uncomfortable action in this crazy, shifting world. That’s maybe not for everyone.
