Although MICHI was established in New York City in 2010, the company is now based in Canada. It was founded by Michelle Watson from her New York apartment. She moved the company to Canada because she could not find the right manufacturing in the area. The clothes are made with certified bluesign® and OEKO-TEX® that are made in Italy at Canadian and Sedex factories.

Michelle wanted to solve the problem of uncomfortable and unflattering sportswear for women so she out to create a clothes brand that would motivate and uplift women. MICHI has pioneered the aesthetic of fashion-forward activewear with ventilating figure-flattering mesh inserts and sophisticated cut-outs. These elements have become MICHI signatures.
