Saltspring Coffee was founded in 1996 on Salt Spring Island. It began as a small roasting cafe that focused on bringing sustainable coffee to the community. Over time, the business grew. It was one of the first 10 companies to be Fair Trade Certified in Canada and then became one of the first certified organic coffees to be sold in grocery stores in Western Canada. Today, the company is on the road to gaining the regenerative organic certification, the next level of certification.
You can purchase Saltspring Coffee in most grocery stores and online. Options include a range of coffee roasts (including whole beans, ground coffee, and coffee pods in a variety of flavours and roasts). They also have a tea brand called Numi, tons of gear and merch, and a Saltspring Coffee subscription box.
