Yummies in a Jar is a company based in Baysville, Ontario founded by Lynn Murden in 1992 who had a dream about working for herself. Yummies began with Lynn selling a dozen jars of Strawberry Rhubarb jam at a street fair in Baysville. She enjoyed selling her own produce so much that she began experimenting in earnest.

From selling at street fairs and farmers’ markets, the company grew and sold its products through a few specialty shops. Despite the growth, Lynn still prepares the products at her home. However, she now has a separate commercial kitchen where she makes the preservers using local products wherever possible.
