Tell us about yourself?
As a passionate serial entrepreneur with a strong affinity for technology and a deep commitment to improving our world, prioritizing this goal has always been paramount. Multiple ventures in the IT, consulting, and servicing sectors have been initiated, yet it was through the acquisition of a security company equipped with a video monitoring center that my true calling in the security industry became apparent. In 2016, my partner and I successfully sold a company comprising 60 employees, which prompted the establishment of Sirix. Collaborating with security dealers became a vital aspect for us as we aimed to empower them with knowledge on optimizing their company’s value.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
It would probably be to take more time off. Although, I already take a lot.
What problem does your business solve?
We prevent theft and crime and allow companies to reduce expensive guard fees.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Sirix was founded on the basis of educating security dealers on how to prevent theft with active surveillance solutions. We were selling cameras year after year, and we had a feeling that we were not really preventing theft or crime but rather helping people see how it occurred and by whom. We started investing more time in this problem and finally never stopped investing time in becoming better at preventing theft and crime.
What is your magic sauce?
We differ by the AI technology that is behind our operations and the tools and metrics available to our customers in real-time.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We started working with dealers in the U.S.A. this year. We plan on being in the top three biggest live video monitoring companies in North America.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The biggest challenge has definitely been finding competent workers. Managing a 24-hour business makes it harder because of the night shifts, which is, in fact, our busiest time of the day for crime.
