Pop Events Group provides Event Management, Event Rentals, and Activities for a variety of clients across Canada. We have produced a massive variety of Employee Engagement Events and Business Events over our 18 years in business. Our employees, vendors, and clients are like family, and those relationships are the foundation of everything we do.

Tell us about yourself?

Since I was a teenager, I’ve been involved in the events and entertainment industry in some capacity. Starting my own company was natural for me because I come from a large family of entrepreneurs. There was never any doubt in my mind that I would eventually have my own business. Once I was ready to open my own shop, I was already well ingrained in the events industry, so the progression to opening up Pop! was quite natural.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Don’t worry so much. If you only knew what I know now, you could relax and enjoy the process a little more…

What problem does your business solve?

We break up the monotony of the every day with bursts of joy, interaction, and shared experiences. We help leave a lasting impression.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I am always inspired by the intangible qualities that all great events have. Big or small. It’s those perfect moments of people laughing with each other, interacting with the environments we create and the entertainment we provide. The joy people feel that could never be truly captured in photos. You had to be there… It’s turning around and seeing a crowd of people just having a great time and really engaging with one another and knowing that you were the one that made it possible. That’s the magic in what we do that makes all the hard work worth it.

What is your magic sauce?

Innovation – We never stop creating and are passionate about what’s new. Service – We always consider the client’s experience at every single step of the process. Training – Each event staff at every one of our events is meticulously trained. Approach – Our unique system of checks and balances sets us apart and guarantees successful execution. Family – Love and loyalty drive everything we do. Experience – Events are who we are and what we do… we’ve been at this for a while;)

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Great question! We are already at the top of our field, have a great client base, an established brand, and strong SEO. I think the next step is to automate the business so that we can eliminate the remainder of our manual processes and truly focus on what matters the most…Servicing our clients, being creative, and producing the best events possible.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The pandemic permanently changed our business. It did not come without its heartache, stress, and challenges, but we survived and thrived. The pandemic taught us to be scrappy and do more with less. We learned how to push ourselves to our creative limits and make the impossible possible. It taught us new ways to communicate and work together. It made us stronger, leaner, and better. It brought us closer as a team and closer to our clients.
