Kavuus, which gets its name from the Finnish word for comfort, mukavuus, is a furniture company based out of British Columbia. Founded in 2009, they originally planned to offer furniture sourced from around the world but found that despite lower customer costs, quality was inconsistent and deliveries took months.

This inspired Kavuus to make and sell its own products with no middlemen. The products are available online, and Kavuus even offers customization of the products.
