LAUFT is a network of conveniently located workspaces activated through an on-demand mobile experience designed for customers with the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Tell us about yourself?

As a serial entrepreneur, I am passionate about creating full client experiences in whatever business I am involved in. Leveraging experience gained from creating companies in the retail, advertising, and technology sectors, LAUFT is the aggregate of years of learning to craft a highly relevant and timely experience for remote workers everywhere.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

As much as we hold ourselves accountable and are passionate about this vision, be thorough in vetting new additions to your culture. Ensure they are truly aligned with your company’s values before inviting them in.

What problem does your business solve?

LAUFT

The need for a consistent, convenient, and professional work experience between the home and destination office that is ultra flexible.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I was inspired by my experience as an entrepreneur and consultant who constantly struggled to find space while on the road to set up to work, host meetings, or make calls. I realized that many of my colleagues and peers suffered the same challenge as they travelled for work, met in coffee shops, or worked at airport gates. There is a lack of accessible space to work professionally when not in the office or at home.

What is your magic sauce?

 LAUFT Flexible Workspace

We are a full-stack technology platform with a physical, branded front end that takes the form of a workspace. We are the Starbucks of space with an Uber-like mobile experience.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We will be national in Canada and expand into the U.S. market with LAUFT locations in multiple verticals relevant to where people need access to space (ex., retail, airport, hotels, conference centres, hospitals, commercial, etc.)

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

COVID-19. While our model benefited from COVID-19 with more individuals and companies exploring remote work strategies, the two years of lockdown were lost opportunities to learn from real-world use cases to refine and optimize. However, COVID-19 resulted in a huge uptake for our model that we would have had to invest heavily to achieve. The gift and the curse.

How can people get involved?
