Founded in 2009 by a team of four, who brought their diverse skills together, Lufa Farms is an urban agricultural company with headquarters in the Ville Saint-Laurent neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec. The company pioneered the idea of commercial rooftop greenhouses, aiming to grow food sustainably in the middle of places where large numbers of people live.

Since harvesting their first rooftop vegetables in 2011, Lufa Farms has expanded to multiple rooftop locations, providing fresh, local produce all year-round. Through their online Marketplace, customers can access a wide range of products, such as their rooftop-grown vegetables and items from local farmers and food makers. Customers can also order weekly baskets, delivered to numerous pick-up points across Quebec.
