Missions Statement: Building Financial Foundations for Families to Empower Them Today and Leave a Legacy for Tomorrow.

Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person or organization. These guiding principles dictate behaviour and can help people understand the difference between right and wrong. Core values also help companies to determine if they are on the right path to fulfilling their goals by creating an unwavering guide.

When choosing a company to work for or an expert to help you, it is important your core values align.
If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If you have leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Tell us about yourself?

I worked in a factory right out of high school, then three years later, at age of 21, I was recruited to the insurance industry. 22 years later, I have never looked back.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Start planning earlier for you next big move in business. I have learned that a big company requires big planning as we shift our sails.

What problem does your business solve?

The large need for life insurance protection of Canadians.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I felt like I was lied to for 10 years at my first company, and I wanted to create a business that would treat agents as kings and queens of the company. I see the biggest issue in our industry to be with the way agents are treated.

What is your magic sauce?

Ownership, ownership, ownership! We are the only insurance agency to my knowledge that offers agents a legacy plan upon retirement, disability, or death.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

  1. Grow to 100,000 licensed agents in North America.
  2. Buy or create and insurance company in Canada.
  3. Continue to expand our operation globally (Currently in USA and Canada).

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The regulators not understanding our business model fully and lumping us in with others. We have created the first of it’s kind in the insurance industry, and we have proven it works for our agents and our clients. We didn’t really change course, but we continued to enhance our compliance operations.
