Paidia Gaming is a women-led media, tech and gaming company focused on creating an inclusive gaming community that empowers gamers to safely connect, learn and play. Our fully integrated portal delivers a secure environment for gamers in search of a supportive, inclusive and kind community. The portal features tournaments, matchmaking, media and content, rewards and prizing and the opportunity to connect with like-minded gamers.

Tell us about yourself?

Prior to Paidia, I was the Head of Media Network for Red Bull Canada. Red Bull was an early adopter of gaming and esports, and is where I fell in love with the whole world of gaming. It is no secret that the gaming industry has been built by the ground up for men by men, and there was significant opportunity for a women-led company to disrupt the market, in a positive way.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Carve out meaningful time for family and kids. They are always #1.

What problem does your business solve?

46% of gamers are women, yet they have been left out of the industry and 77% of them have faced harassment. Paidia has built a robust online portal to house a mass community of like-minded gamers who are looking for a safe, inclusive and kind community – to connect learn and play. Paidia is a social gaming platform.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The gaming industry has been built by men for men and bro culture is real. We have built a portal for like-minded gamers to connect, learn and play. Whether through tournaments, media and content, social and community or rewards and prizing,

Everyone who joins Paidia has to take a pledge that says:

By creating an account on, I commit to uphold the values of Paidia for a brighter future in gaming: inclusion, integration, diversity, and kindness. I also acknowledge Paidia is a site that prioritizes the safety and respect of its members, and any form of racism, sexism, queerphobia, ableism, or other prejudices will not be tolerated. Engaging in any of the listed behaviours will result in the termination of my account

Paidia is on a mission to re-write the narrative in gaming.

What is your magic sauce?

Hire the right people. The team is everything! Paidia is a women-led company and the team are all experts in their respective verticals and understand the industry inside and out. The core team are young gamers who understand the audience and they are supported by a seasoned group of c-suite executives who are equally as passionate about re-writing the narrative on women in gaming.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Listen to the Paidia community and continue to build media and tech solutions that matter to them.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

As the head of the company you have to wear many hats, therefore you likely have to take on roles and responsibilities that you are not entirely familiar with. I think it is important to see challenges as opportunities and build a team around you to support the areas you are not as strong in.
