Tell us about yourself?
John Menezes is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stratejm. He is responsible for setting the Company’s strategy, direction, and culture. He is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in the Canadian IT Industry, including 10 years as Founder, President and CEO of Cyberklix, which at the time of its acquisition in May 2010 was recognized as one of Canada’s largest Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP).
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would tell myself to stay focused on getting the job done.

Seeing that the threat landscape was changing rapidly and that the legacy MSSPs were unable or unwilling to change their business models, John Menezes demonstrated thought leadership and innovation by launching Canada’s first cloud-based Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) business in 2014. Stratejm, a Next Generation Managed Security Services Provider, brings innovation and thought leadership to the fight against cyber criminals. Stratejm’s sole mission is to assist enterprises to reduce their risk and also reduce the cost of security operations.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Removing silos and enhancing communication to reduce the mean time between detection and response in the world of cybersecurity.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
International Expansion in the U.S.A. and beyond. Looking to have our Canadian presence as a leader in the industry for Cybersecurity.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Finding skilled cyber talent. Many of the graduates of today are not up to speed on the current cyber curriculum. As a result, Stratejm has recently made half a million-dollar investment in Sheridan College.
