Suzanne Faris is a Canadian designer creating handcrafted leather handbags from her storefront studio in downtown St. Thomas, Ontario. Her business grew from earlier work making fabric bags and home décor, with products exhibited at Canadian design shows and sold through independent retailers before she shifted her focus to leather.
Since 2022, Faris has continued to expand her leather handbag collection, typically releasing one or two collections each year. Her designs combine premium leather with solid brass hardware, quality canvas linings, and custom zippers, with an emphasis on durable materials and timeless styling. Individual collections also draw inspiration from different stories and themes, including the Aviatrix collection, which was influenced by women who became pilots during the Second World War. Faris designs and creates her work from her studio in a heritage building in the city’s downtown core.
