Tell us about yourself?

Born and raised in Montreal, QC, to a Lebanese immigrant family, I was introduced to entrepreneurship very early on in life. I had the pleasure of starting my first business venture at the age of 18, at which point I felt the need to learn more about the ins and outs of corporate Canada. I started my first role with one of Canada’s largest telecom companies while pursuing my education. I quickly moved up the rank with the company to become Associate Director in Toronto after a short four years. My career and education led me to pursue my career in one of Canada’s largest institutions. I always had a passion for business and Technology, especially after selling 56k internet as a first role. After seeing many loved ones not receive the care they needed while waiting long wait times, being underinsured, or even struggling to understand their options in a fragmented health system. I immediately jumped on the e occasion to start Doc Clik with my fellow Co-founder in the hope of empowering patients across the country, and I have never looked back ever since

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Surround yourself with ambitious and visionary people. It is amazing how far we can go in with the right group.

What problem does your business solve?

We are using technology to simplify access to health providers in a fragmented system. Our health ecosystem will be one of a kind in the industry where all can join, and patients can have options and access. No more guessing or random Google searches. We are building the largest inventory of health professional availability across Canada that is not dictated by who has the largest marketing budget or sponsored ads.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

We are creating a place where every type of patient can find every type of care. An ecosystem where they can see comprehensive health professionals and receive treatment options with quality information. A place where they can choose health professionals that are competing to serve them. While allowing them to manage all of their health appointments under one platform.

What is your magic sauce?

I don’t think we have a magic sauce. The Doc Clik team is simply on a mission. Every day we wake up and invite all the health professionals, associations, and insurance corps to join our mission, and we won’t stop until Canadians have the healthcare experience they deserve.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

In the next five years, we would love to be serving patients and health professionals from coast to coast to coast.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

As a leader of a startup, you need to run efficiently with limited resources. I think that having such a motivated, dynamic, and dedicated team helps with any challenge that gets thrown at us. Building our brand, but, as important, our culture is key to the success of what we are trying to accomplish.
