Klever Toys invents clever accessories for popular toys. Our first product is TrackJack — the ultimate track-building system for Hot Wheels tracks and cars!

Tell us about yourself?

I’m an entrepreneur, engineer, inventor, and writer who has been creating educational games for many years. I’ve always been interested in trying to invent toys as well.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I would remind myself that things always take longer than we want — business is a marathon, not a sprint.

What problem does your business solve?

We make popular toys more fun. Our first product, TrackJack, makes building Hot Wheels tracks easier. Hot Wheels is the most popular toy in the world, but you have to prop up the tracks on boxes and furniture and often have to fix everything in place with tape. This is time-consuming and frustrating. TrackJack solves this problem by serving as scaffolding for lifting tracks to build ramps, jumps, bridges, side-by-side and top-down racing, and more.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

My son, Nico, loves Hot Wheels, and he was asking me to build an “epic track” every day. And every day after we struggled to build a track with boxes, furniture, and tape, we would have to take it down so we could have our living room back. I thought there must be a better way, but I couldn’t find one. So I invented TrackJack.

What is your magic sauce?

Mattel, the maker of Hot Wheels, does not offer an accessory like TrackJack, and we are unaware of any other such accessory.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Ideally, we would like to get more people to try TrackJack while also inventing new accessories for other popular toys.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Creating awareness of our product. Inventing a new product is hard work, but letting people know about it is often harder.
