MediaSpark solves complex business and education problems. Our GoVenture programs are one of the original and most widely used series of educational games and simulations in the world for learning business, entrepreneurship, personal finance, typing, health, and more.

Tell us about yourself?

I grew up in the first generation of video gamers and programmers. I earned a degree in computer and electrical engineering and started my career with IBM. I resigned at age 26 to start my own company, MediaSpark.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I think I would have to go back in time 10 or 20 years to make a difference 🙂

What problem does your business solve?

We make learning faster, more engaging, and more effective than conventional methods. We use a learning methodology that we describe as Experiential + Social + Gamified and apply this methodology to create board games, card games, software simulations, and massively multiplayer online games.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Education has become too slow, too expensive, and uninspiring. We strive to make it better and more accessible to more people.

What is your magic sauce?

We use a learning methodology that we describe as Experiential + Social + Gamified and apply this methodology to create board games, card games, software simulations, and massively multiplayer online games. The result is that our learning experiences are faster, more engaging, more effective, and more affordable than other methods. Our products include business simulations (GoVenture Entrepreneur, CEO, Digital Marketing, Leader, and more), personal finance simulations (GoVenture Life & Money), typing games (GoVenture Typing), and tabletop games (Food Truck Entrepreneur Board Game), and more.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Our GoVenture programs are used in thousands of schools, universities, nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and Fortune 500 companies, reaching millions of learners around the world. Our objective is to reach even more people.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The status quo in education is very powerful and generally resists change.

How can people get involved?

Educators and trainers can adopt our programs at www.GoVenture.net. Individuals for personal learning can visit GoVentureCourses.com.
