If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Hire slow, fire fast. Prioritize even if it hurts.
What problem does your business solve?
Fundica enables entrepreneur-support organizations to truly help entrepreneurs, particularly the underrepresented, identify and apply for relevant funding and make the organization more of a one-stop funding destination.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
My two grandfathers and parents inspired me. They sparked my passion to create a business that could enable entrepreneur-support organizations to truly help entrepreneurs, particularly the underrepresented, identify and apply for relevant funding and make the organization more of a one-stop funding destination.
What is your magic sauce?
Our funding search engine is comprehensive, relevancy ranked, and up-to-date across North America. This is by far the most important aspect of a solution like ours.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We aim to grow the business in both Canada and the U.S. and continue to simplify the lives of entrepreneurs and entrepreneur-support organizations. This is our vision for the future.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Entering the U.S. market has been our biggest challenge so far. We have made significant progress by partnering with several notable entrepreneur-support organizations in the U.S. However, we still have much to do to expand awareness of our solution in the U.S. market.
