Since 1990, ergoCentric has been making chairs, that were first geared toward the industrial market. They now offer a wide variety (13 different lines) of modular chairs. Modular is important, because it allows them to customize every component of the chair to accommodate different sizes, shapes, and comfort scenarios.

It’s difficult to describe how many different options are available, and how adjustable the chairs are, so you can find out for yourself by visiting one of their Toronto-area showrooms. Alternatively, you can send them pictures of you sitting in a chair and basic body measurements, and they’ll analyze the information and come up with a recommendation.

You can definitely find cheaper chairs out there, but when you factor in avoidance of injuries related to sitting in chairs non-stop and chair construction described as a “tank” by Gizmodo, the total cost of ownership makes a lot of sense.
