Tell us about yourself?
My background is in the IT field after studying computer science and business at the University of Windsor. I got into the waste management industry because I felt a need to contribute to the reduction of Greenhouse Gases from landfills.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Don’t be afraid to stand out. Your uniqueness keeps you in business
What problem does your business solve?
Waste disposal, landfill diversion, and advising on best waste disposal practices.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
The business was started to address the ongoing emission from landfills as a result of Greenhouse Gases. We help organizations reduce their environmental impact by diverting most of their waste from landfills into useful products.
What is your magic sauce?
Our magic sauce is the ability to enable organizations with minimal efforts compared to current efforts without incurring so much cost.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Expansion of the company’s unique offering nationally and internationally. We want to have an impact on the amount of landfill waste in Canada. We hope to perfect this model and then introduce this to other parts of the world.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Waste is ever-evolving, and so much is required to keep new kinds of waste out of the landfill. Contamination is one of the biggest problems. Hard to determine how much contamination is involved until the waste is emptied at the disposal site
How can people get involved?
We are looking for strategic partners interested in working with us to expand nationally and internationally. Our website: harvestrecycling.ca
