Tell us about yourself?

I moved to Canada with my family at the age of 18, which sparked my enduring passion for aiding individuals and businesses in their immigration endeavours. My upbringing was richly diverse, with Indian roots and formative years spent in the Middle East. After completing my education in Canada, I spent nearly 10 years in headhunting before obtaining my real estate license, fueled by my keen interest in property investment. This was closely followed by an immigration license, aligning with my commitment to assist others in their journey to a new life.

This career trajectory was not by chance but a deliberate and considered choice. Today, I assist businesses and families in making Canada their new home, and I lead a team of seasoned realtors who help them find their perfect abode, ensuring a seamless transition. Since embarking on my entrepreneurial journey in 2017, the experience has been exhilarating, and I eagerly anticipate the unfolding of further exciting ventures.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Reflecting on the past couple of years during the COVID-19 period, I would advise my past self not to harbour any guilt about dedicating time to my daughter when she was just one and a half years old. The moments we shared together, free from distractions, are invaluable. As she grows up all too quickly, I cherish those times and now find myself wishing for even more moments like those.

What problem does your business solve?

Bluewater Immigration addresses the apprehension businesses often face when considering expansion into Canada. Our team expertly guides companies through each step, securing the necessary work permits and assisting with permanent residency applications when required. We demystify the process, ensuring a smooth transition into the Canadian market.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

At Bluewater Immigration, our driving inspiration specifically is the transformative impact that attracting businesses to Canada has on the economy. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a powerful engine for growth, and by facilitating business expansion into Canada, we contribute significantly to economic development. Each business that we help to establish not only generates jobs but also stimulates the local economy through spending and tax contributions. Our focus on business immigration stems from the diversity and unique challenges that each business presents. It’s incredibly rewarding to influence the global trajectory of a company, and that’s why we are passionate about what we do.

What is your magic sauce?

At Bluewater Immigration, our unique advantage lies in our bespoke approach and exceptional business insight. Unlike larger firms where files may be passed down to junior consultants or outsourced, I personally oversee each client’s case with meticulous attention to detail. Our ‘magic sauce’ is this hands-on approach combined with my in-depth business acumen. I apply creative strategies to each application, ensuring that businesses are presented to IRCC in the most favourable light, significantly enhancing the chances of approval. This personalized and expertly tailored service sets us apart from the competition, making us the partner of choice for business immigration.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Over the next five years, Bluewater Immigration has a clear and ambitious plan for growth and expansion. By the end of 2028, our vision encompasses significant achievements:

  • We aim to rank among the top five Canadian firms specializing in business and investor immigration, with a particular emphasis on facilitating intra-company transfers and championing the startup visa program.
  • We endeavour to establish ourselves as a premier firm in citizenship and residence by investment services, not only for Canada but also for an array of other countries where we see strong potential for our clients. To this end, we have already taken proactive steps towards this vision, as evidenced by our membership in the Investment Migration Council (IMC Membership # P2023-933).

The countries we are focusing on to offer citizenship and/or residence by investment, alongside Canada, include:

  • United States
  • St. Lucia
  • Malta
  • Grenada
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Austria
  • Thailand
  • Portugal
  • Australia
  • Singapore
  • Spain
  • Switzerland
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom

Our strategy is already in motion, and we are committed to turning these goals into a reality, further establishing Bluewater Immigration as a leader in the global immigration sector.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

At Bluewater Immigration, our foremost challenge has been navigating the ever-evolving landscape of immigration policies. We constantly adapt to legislative changes, ensuring our strategies remain effective and compliant. Another significant hurdle is managing the processing delays caused by the backlogs at IRCC, which demands meticulous planning and client communication.

Additionally, we frequently encounter situations where clients have received incorrect advice from unlicensed consultants. It’s imperative for us to then step in and redirect them with accurate, professional guidance. These aspects underscore that while immigration consultancy is complex, with the right approach and expertise, it can also be exceptionally rewarding.
