Richard Lau is a free logo maker and brand-building platform. The company has a clear mission to help entrepreneurs launch their businesses quickly, effectively, and without breaking the bank.

We’ve taken a months-long brand-building process and turned it into 30 minutes.

My team has spent a tremendous amount of time ensuring that the logos and templates for business cards, letterheads, email signatures, flyers, posters, social media posts, and more that our customers receive are clean and professional. We want to serve them a product that can help them showcase their brand in the best possible light.

Tell us about yourself?

I started in domain names in 1996. I started by focusing on providing services as a registrar and DNS provider. I have founded, built, and sold multiple companies, including, (sold to, and NamesCon (one of the world’s largest commercial Internet domain name conferences sold to GoDaddy).

Along with success on the business side, I’m also the Executive Director of WaterSchool, a charity focused on clean water projects in Uganda.

My team and I are currently building, a free logo maker and brand-building suite for those just starting their business.

I am a cross between a serial entrepreneur and a lifestyle entrepreneur. I love to start new things and bring them to successful fruition, but I also enjoy time with my family.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

My advice is simple – Think bigger. Grow faster. Try things more.

What problem does your business solve?

The blank page is one of the entrepreneurs’ most significant challenges when starting their businesses. Building a credible online presence demands capital and various tools and subscriptions. Before you know it, you have more tools than you need, and you’re bleeding financially. With, they get everything they need on one platform, which saves them time, energy, and resources.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

When we (my team and I) were building other businesses, we faced some common issues with setting up our brand – multiple tools, platforms, vendors, and subscriptions.

With, we ironed out these issues with a free logo maker and brand-building platform that offers professional designs that make businesses look credible to their customers – all under one platform.

Our customers start with a free logo and can walk out with a domain name, website, design business cards, branded letterheads, professional email signatures, flyers, posters, social media posts, and so much more. The process from start to finish for all of that takes an hour or a maximum of two hours.

What is your magic sauce?

The best way to get value is to give it first. The team at is its magic sauce. We invest in our employees and have their backs. They reciprocate that by taking care of our customers.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

For now, I’m enjoying the journey. I love a little bit of everything – our team, work, planning, communication, challenges, wins, flexibility, autonomy, and, most importantly, building something worthwhile and creating exceptional experiences.

In the next five years, I wish to have helped new entrepreneurs build and launch their businesses with minimum friction.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is constantly redefining what “business as usual” means. Back in the day, it was about giving your employees all the tools and resources they needed to get the job done. Business as usual for me in today’s business is ensuring that team morale is up as well as keeping up with the changing trends. Innovation requires change and adaptability.
