Tell us about yourself?

With over 13 years of experience in working under business development, I discovered my passion for helping startups while working for non-profit organizations dedicated to fueling the ecosystems of entrepreneurs through community support and innovation. Over the years I’ve met so many notable startups which led me to want to dedicate myself to helping them scale and grow.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Success doesn’t look the same for everyone. I’ve read a ton of personal development books and spent hours listening to podcasts, and you’ll often hear things like: “The most successful people get up at 5 am, you need to read a ton of XYZ or every successful person does this certain habit to succeed…etc”.

Those things can work for some people and can add a ton of value in your life, but if there’s one thing that I would go back and say to myself is that personal development is PERSONAL. I spent so much of my energy trying to get it right and do what I thought was required to ensure success, when in reality – as soon as I started becoming more comfortable with doing what worked for me, I found a lot more happiness in my life and a lot more success.

There are certain guidelines you should follow if you want to be successful, but it’s important to understand that not every habit works for every person all the time. You need to try things out before figuring out what works for you.

Making sure to find what works for you and do things in a way that is authentic to yourself is one of the most important things I have learned over the past couple of years in relation to achieving happiness alongside success.

What problem does your business solve?

Startups have a 90% failure rate. At Lunas, we want to ensure that the startups we work with are part of the 10%. Startups tend to falter through the growing pains while they scale, and with our proven sales strategies, outbound lead generation processes, and skilled sales representatives, we go the extra mile to help the startups who partner with us to ensure their revenue growth and success.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The inspiration behind my business is driven by my passion for helping startups grow. Having worked with multiple startups and different entrepreneurs in my previous years, seeing the cumulative effort built by community support was something that struck me and eventually became the fuel that ignited the same passion I carry to this very day as I operate my business. Founders of notable startups often have incredible businesses but lack a background in sales and need some help proving product market fit and scaling their revenue. We help them by implementing sales processes and booking sales calls to grow their revenue and understand what works and how to repeat it at scale.

What is your magic sauce?

After ten years of scaling companies worldwide, we found that startups deserve more than just another outsourced sales agency that implements tactics of the past. We realized that to be the best partner to these startups, we need to guide them throughout the development, execution, and testing phases of the sales process with a customized strategy.

For example, a typical SDR Shop has a 6:1 to 10:1 Account to SDR Ratio. At Lunas, we stick to a 1:1 to 2:1 ratio to ensure that each account is given premium and priority to give them the guidance and accompaniment they need throughout the process. We also invest in the best lead gen tools to provide the most accurate and important data our accounts need, including a custom data analytics dashboard to action data and to provide our accounts with real insights.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Hopefully, in the next five years, we will have helped hundreds of startups across the nation. We want to grow large enough to help startups in even the most remote locations, as we believe that all startups ultimately possess the drive to better humankind with whatever service or product they offer, and we believe that by helping them attain that goal through our processes, we’ll make the world a better place. Of course, we also wish to learn more as we grow, since we believe that education is just as important as execution. We know that by working with different startups, we learn from them just as much as they do from us.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

As a young company, we often encounter a lot of setbacks and hurdles. Still, we believe that it’s inevitable, and each setback isn’t a failure but rather an opportunity to grow. As I’ve mentioned earlier, one of our values is that we face the difficult facts and face them together. So regardless of whether the challenge we face is big or small, we take pride in the fact that we go through each and every one together, because at the end of the day, it’s another avenue for our company to evolve and adapt through the growing process we’re in.
