Jaimie Harris founded This Is J as a response to a need. During college, she created fashion-forward headbands to keep her hair out of her face while she studied. From there, she created an entire brand of pyjamas, loungewear, and accessories to fit the loungewear needs of men and women across Canada. Since 2003, This Is J has used ethical production methods, a local workforce, and ethically sourced materials to create its products.
Every piece of clothing made by This Is J is produced in Canada. Every fabric is knit, dyed, printed, cut, and assembled in their Toronto, Ontario factory. They provide a living wage to local workers and use only quality materials to create their garments. Even their packaging is recyclable.
This Is J offers loungewear, bamboo pyjamas, rompers, robes, and accessories. These accessories include sleep masks, headbands, hats, and scarves. Every vibrant pattern is hand-drawn by Jaimie Harris, too.
