Alkeme was founded in 2016 as a culmination of frustration with the lack of proper nourishment found in most of the products on the shelves in grocery stores. Instead, the founders found labels full of additives, stabilisers, and binders which can lead to a deterioration in health and wellness.
To address this, Alkeme’s founders set out to reinvent gluten-free bread using wild fermentation. Since its founding, Alkeme has been dedicated to making real food that is made by hand using 100% organic and non-GMO ingredients. All Alkeme products are gluten-free and vegan, free of preservatives and additives, and use raw sweeteners instead of highly processed cane sugar.
