In 1956, Leslie Joe and is wife Susan hand-made their first blocks of tofu in a small kitchen behind their family-owned grocery store, Sunrise Market, in downtown Vancouver.  Their tofu quickly became a community favourite and developed a loyal following.  Sunrise Soya Foods was soon established to serve more Canadians with high-quality tofu and plant-based protein.  Today, Sunrise Soya Foods is the largest tofu manufacturer and leading tofu brand in Canada with three facilities in Vancouver, Delta, and Toronto, offering a diverse range of soy products available at all major retailers.
