Mandala Designs is a Canadian clothing company owned by designer Mandy Armstrong. She has been sewing her own clothes since she was young but for a long time considered becoming an accountant like her father. However, it was her father who suggested that she should perhaps consider a career that made use of her sewing skills instead.

Mandy attended the Fashion Technique and Design programme at Sheridan College and founded Mandala Design in 1991, a year after graduation. However, for over a decade she ran Mandala part-time whilst working in the Toronto fashion industry. In 2005, she was able to focus on Mandala designs full-time and has never looked back.
