FEMME was founded under the name Arpège by Albert and Charles Dayan in 1976, Femme de Carrière was one of the first Québec firms to specialise in the production of women’s suits. The company built its solid reputation on this and remained an industry leader in Québec for several years.

The company’s status changed in 1996 when it went from manufacturer distributor to manufacturer retailer. It was also the same year when Sandra Angelozzi began creating her signature collections for FEMME. The company’s mission is to empower women from all different cultural backgrounds around the world.
