Cozey is known for its modular sofas and other seating options, but they are new to the bedroom furniture game. The Cozey mattress is their first full all-foam mattress offering. This mattress is a medium-firm option that is made in Canada and available in Full, Queen, and King. It’s priced as a budget model that doesn’t use too many confusing or complicated tactics to sell you on comfort or cooling.

In this review, we’ll look at the Cozey mattress to see if this new sleep offering lives up to the Cozey name and brand reputation.

Should You Buy the Cozey Mattress in 2026?

The Cozey Mattress is one of Cozey’s newest ventures when it comes to bedroom furniture and sleep products. This mattress is a budget model, with a retail price that’s a little lower than some of the other budget models we regularly cover. Plus, it’s got thicker comfort layers than some of those ‘budget’ models, with a 10″ profile that is substantial despite its price.

  • Three thick layers of foam, including 4″ of comfort foam layers
  • Cooling foam helps reduce higher temperatures throughout the night as you sleep
  • Best suited for combination sleepers, back sleepers, and lightweight side sleepers
  • 100-night sleep trial to see if the mattress works for you
  • Elevated 15-year warranty that covers material defects and deep indents

Considerations:

The Cozey Mattress is a unique offering from Cozey. As the company’s first bed-in-a-box mattress offering, this all-foam option seems to be the beginning of a new endeavor from the company. Cozey is well-known for making comfortable modular sofas and other furniture, so their move into bedroom furniture and sleep products is a new development.

That said, the Cozey Mattress is a great introduction to the category. It uses three layers of foam for comfort and pressure relief, with a supportive high-density foam core to help keep your body aligned as you sleep. This mattress is 10″ tall and uses 4″ of foam comfort layers in addition to the 6″ support base. Typically, we like to see mattresses with thicker comfort layers, especially those that offer cooling properties like the Cozey Mattress. The more layers between you and the support core, the better you’re likely to sleep.

At a 6 out of 10 on our firmness scale, the Cozey mattress is ideal for lightweight side sleepers, back sleepers, and combination sleepers. Stomach sleepers are unlikely to stay comfortable for long, but some users may find that they appreciate the firmness and feel of this mattress regardless of their sleeping position.

Mattress Construction

Cozey Mattress Construction

The Cozey Mattress uses just three layers of foam to create its supportive, comforting feel. The comfort layers create most of the feel of the mattress, while the supportive core keeps you aligned and sleeping soundly.

  • 2″ Serene Cooling Foam. At the top of the mattress is a 2″ layer of Serene Cooling Foam. This is Cozey’s proprietary foam, infused with gel to keep heat moving away from you throughout the night. This layer is also responsible for most of the motion isolation throughout the mattress.
  • 2″ High-Density Foam. A transition layer of high-density foam keeps you lifted out of the support layer, balances your body, and reduces pressure. This layer is the reason that this mattress doesn’t fall into the many pitfalls that memory foam mattresses are known for.
  • 6″ High-Density Foam. The base of the mattress uses a 6″ layer of dense memory foam to balance and support your body. This layer is responsible for keeping your spine in a neutral position, reducing discomfort due to sag, and helping you wake up ready to take on your day.

Though the Cozey Mattress only has three layers, each of them has an important role. More importantly, the comfort layers are thick for a mattress with a thinner profile.

Firmness

6 on Firmness Scale

We measure firmness on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being as soft as a feather and 10 being as firm as a rock. A mattress’s firmness can determine how it might work for certain sleeping positions. Side sleepers, for instance, tend to prefer a medium-firm mattress. Even so, most agree that a firmness rating between 6 and 8 is ideal for their best sleep.

The Cozey Mattress is a 6 out of 10 on our firmness scale. This means that it’s still Medium Firm, but it’s slightly softer than some of the other medium firm options on the market. This is ideal for those who want strong support with a little extra plush comfort at the top of the mattress. At the same time, the additional softness here shouldn’t be enough to deter those who need a properly supportive mattress at all.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is important for Canadians who share a bed. If you often wake up when your partner tosses, turns, or gets out of bed, a mattress with better motion isolation can help. Thicker foams in all-foam mattresses can help dampen movement, stopping it before it reaches the other side of the bed.

The Cozey Mattress uses high-density foams throughout, as well as a transition layer that helps absorb any motion. The foam core does a lot of work towards isolating motion as well, so couples with restless partners should be able to sleep a little more easily. While some motion will still transfer to the other side of the bed, it should be greatly reduced compared to what you might experience in thinner mattresses, hybrids, or traditional innersprings.

Pressure Relief

Cozey Mattress Pressure Relief Feature

Pressure points are a problem that many sleepers face, no matter how they sleep. Wherever you press into the mattress, you can develop uncomfortable pressure points that escalate into full aches. The discomfort from these pressure points don’t go away, either; they can follow you throughout your day, making it difficult to carry out your daily tasks without some reminder of your mattress. To eliminate pressure points, mattresses need to make an effort to lift you out of the layers, cushion deeper points where you press into the mattress, and prevent you from feeling the firmer support core.

The Cozey Mattress does a surprising job of controlling pressure and keeping you comfortable. Though it has thinner comfort layers than some mattresses (and a thinner profile overall), the high-density foam layers keep you balanced above the support layers. This means that most sleepers (excluding heavier sleepers) will find that they don’t press deeply enough into the mattress to form pressure points at all.

Mileage on this may vary depending on how you sleep, but for the most part, the pressure relief here is comfortable enough to keep most sleepers happy.

Temperature Control

If you find yourself waking up with night sweats, you aren’t alone. A large portion of Canadians find themselves waking up at night hot and uncomfortable, or they wake up in the morning drenched in sweat. Memory foam mattresses can make this issue worse, especially if they don’t contain any cooling materials or breathable features. Memory foam tends to hold onto heat, which can force it to linger around your body as you sleep.

Thankfully, the Cozey mattress has a layer of cooling foam at the top to help with heat retention. This layer is made of Cozey’s Serene cooling foam, a gel-infused memory foam that helps move heat away from you throughout the night. This helps regulate temperatures so you don’t overheat, leading to cooler nights overall. Extremely hot sleepers may still want more cooling features, but this mattress will work fine for those who only occasionally need cooling support.

Edge Support

Cozey Mattress Edge Support Feature

Sometimes, the edges of a mattress can sink or compress too easily. If you sit on the edges in the morning or naturally gravitate towards them as you sleep, the lack of support there can be uncomfortable and detrimental to your rest. All-foam mattresses with no additional edge support features are some of the worst for the sinking, sliding feeling that can arise from unsupported edges.

The Cozey Mattress is, unfortunately, one of those mattresses that lacks a lot of edge support. While this may not be a dealbreaker for some, the all-foam system doesn’t really add any additional support for the edges of the mattress. The high-density base foam and transition layer can add some extra support, which is useful for those who need a little extra here. However, this mattress may not be strong enough for those who regularly sleep near the edge.

Ease of Movement

All-foam mattresses (like this) often have issues with ease of movement. After lying in one position for a while, you may find that you feel stuck in the mattress. Standard memory foam has a ‘quicksand’ feeling that makes it harder to turn over or change position, so ease of movement is an important factor to consider with any mattress.

The Cozey Mattress uses high-density foam layers and a cooling foam top. While it doesn’t have the quickest response time, the high-density foam does a much better job of lifting you out of the mattress than traditional memory foam does. If you change positions often, this bed should work just fine for you.

Pricing

The Cozey Mattress is a budget-friendly all-foam mattress that remains less expensive than several other all-foam Canadian mattress brands. This allows it to occupy a unique space on the market: a brand you already trust with a new product that is made to bring some relief to your wallet.

Shipping

Shipping timelines for the Cozey Mattress depend on product availability, as Cozey does not guarantee that orders will ship within a fixed timeframe. Once the mattress has shipped, delivery generally takes only a few additional days. Cozey offers shipping across Canada and throughout all US states, and there is no minimum purchase required to qualify for free shipping.

In some remote regions with limited delivery access, additional shipping fees may apply. These cases are uncommon, but customers who are unsure about their location can contact Cozey’s Customer Happiness Team before placing an order for more information.

Sleep Trial and Returns

The Cozey Mattress includes a 100-night sleep trial, giving customers several months to test the mattress at home before making a final decision. Since the mattress expands after being removed from its shipping box, it does not need to be returned in the original packaging. Instead, Cozey will arrange for the mattress to be picked up if a return is initiated.

To qualify for a return, the mattress must be kept in clean and sanitary condition without significant stains, damage, or excessive wear. Returns that do not meet these standards may be declined.

Once the returned mattress is received, Cozey’s Quality Assurance Team inspects it before approving the refund. If the return is accepted, refunds are typically processed within 3 to 7 business days.

Warranty

The Cozey Mattress is backed by a 15-year warranty, which is designed to reflect the expected durability of the mattress over years of regular use. Compared to many online mattress brands, this is a longer-than-average warranty period and provides coverage for qualifying manufacturing or material defects.

Like most mattress warranties, the coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, improper care, or abnormal wear over time. Keeping the mattress in good condition and using an appropriate foundation can help avoid issues that may affect warranty eligibility.

If you need to start a warranty claim, Cozey recommends reaching out to its Customer Happiness Team directly. They can review the issue and guide you through the next steps of the warranty process.

Final Thoughts

The Cozey Mattress is a promising addition to the Cozey lineup, but there are some things to consider before you purchase. It’s rather thin and may retain heat despite its cooling foam layers. If you sleep on your side or often wake up with night sweats, this might not be the right option for you. However, lightweight and average sleepers, especially back and combination sleepers, will find that this mattress gets the job done without too many issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Cozey Mattress is made in Canada, crafted at local facilities and shipped throughout the country (as well as to all 50 states in the US).

This mattress might be okay for some side sleepers, but we’d recommend choosing a thicker mattress. Side sleepers need a lot of additional cushioning to stay comfortable and avoid pressure points. While this mattress is fine for most, others may find that their hips press deeply into the mattress and become uncomfortable.

Couples who are often restless may enjoy the addition motion dampening effect that this foam has. This mattress uses high-density foam to help stop motion, but the thinner profile means that some motion may still travel across the mattress for some couples.

The Cozey Mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial to see if the mattress works for you. If you don’t think you like it after the first 30 days, you can return it for a full refund.
