You might recognise the founders of Farmery Estate Brewery from the TV show Dragons Den. The two Winnipeg brothers went on the show and convinced the dragons to invest in their company. However, the story of Farmery Estate Brewery can be traced back further than that.

Before founding their own brewery, the brothers Christ and Lawrence ran the first gastropub in Winnipeg, Luxaulune, which served craft beers from around the world. The idea for brewing their own beer came after they visited a craft beer tour in Wisconsin in 2009 and by 2012, the first Farmery Premium Lagers were sold at their gastropub.
