Steel Wheel Brewery is located on the east end of Brant County, offering a combination brewery and hop farm. They serve an array of craft beers and pizza, both made with locally sourced ingredients, including some grown right on their farm.
The brewery has been open for 6 years, founded by long-time Brant County residents, Harold Kuret and Cindy Blair. They began cultivating hops in 2015 and opened the Brewery’s doors in 2018 as their retirement venture. Housed in a renovated 1890’s farmhouse, the brewery’s taproom provides a rustic charm, complemented by a seasonal beer garden and pizza kitchen overlooking the expansive hop fields.
At Steel Wheel Brewery, they strive to create a focal point of the county – where people can connect while sharing great food and drink. In the summer, the beer garden opens up offering an acre of picnic tables nestled amidst a tree-lined meadow. Guests might find local bands, or events happening throughout the warmer months in this space as well. In the winter, we hunker down with a course series featuring local experts from around the region.
