Glen Breton is the oldest single malt whisky distillery in North America. The original Glenora Distillery was founded by a Scottish immigrant, Bruce Jardine who used traditional methods and only three ingredients, barley, yeast, and water, to make the first batch of whisky which is now known as Glen Breton Rare.
Today, the distillery is located in Glenville, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where they also have an inn, restaurant, and pub. The distillery produces a range of product offerings which include Glen Breton Rare 10 Year Old, 15 Year Old, and 30 year old as well as the first single malt whisky finished in ice wine barrels.
