The roots of Stanfield’s go back to 1856 when Charles E. Stanfield together with his brother-in-law founded the Tryon Woolen Mills in Tryon, Prince Edward Island. He later sold his interest in the mill to his brother-in-law and founded Truro Woolen Mills in Nova Scotia. It was renamed Stanfield Mill in 1872.

Today, Stanfield is an industry leader in its field with a commitment to adapt to provide consumers with what they need and want. This includes introducing new fabrics, styles, and blends and selling the best products at reasonable prices.

The majority of Stanfield’s products are made in Canada. However, some products that are sold in chain stores such as Walmart may not be so always check the label if you want Canadian-made Stanfield’s products.
