Bean Around The World Coffee is a Canadian-owned and operated company. The company was founded by Pete Boeda in 1990. His inspiration to start his business began with a visit to a coffee shop in San Francisco in the 1970’s. He experienced the energy, atmosphere and sense of community in that shop and decided he wanted to open one for himself. He did just that in West Vancouver in 1990. Soon after, in 1994, a coffee roastery was added to the mix and since that time they have expanded many times over to a total of 23 locations in the BC Lower Mainland.
They believe strongly in giving back to the community and to the producers that grow their coffee in Peru, Mexico, Cuba and Guatemala. This is especially evident in Guatemala where they helped to build a school. You can visit one of their coffee shops to enjoy a drink or purchase their coffee through their website. They also offer a coffee subscription service where you can select your beans and frequency of delivery. Some of the many coffee types they offer are Rainforest Organic Dark Roast, Organic Espresso Blend and Aztec Organic Fair Trade.
