Bean Scene Coffee Works is a Canadian owned and operated enterprise that is located in Kelowna, BC. They were established in 1996 and were the pioneers of the Third Wave Coffee Movement in the Okanagan Valley. The Third Wave Coffee Movement is associated with the concept of specialty coffee – referring either to specialty coffee beans or drinks. Bean Scene has their coffee roastery where they employ a Probat roaster to produce their artisan coffee beans.

In 2004 they underwent an overhaul of their business and in the process, built their own in-house bakery where they produce all of their delicious, handmade baked goods that are sold at their shops. They do not use hydrogenated fats or high fructose corn syrups in their goodies. The company has now expanded to a total of four coffee shops in Kelowna – Bernard Ave, Pandosy Village, Ellis & Doyle and the Landmark Centre.
