There are so many options to choose from, including colours and fabrics that you are unlikely to find anywhere else.
This bed frame comes in Full, Queen, and King, so you can only get it for larger mattresses. However, it’s a slatted bed frame with universal compatibility, so it will work with most foam and hybrid mattresses. Each of the fabric options for the surround and the headboard is removable and machine washable, so you don’t have to resort to spot-cleaning the bed frame if there’s ever an issue or a spill.

- Fabrics. For the most part, the fabrics (those not used in the cover) are made with 100% polyester. This covers any fabric used to cover metal framing parts or folding panels.
- Upholstered Panel. The upholstered panels around the bed are made of plywood. The plywood frames are upholstered, but the core is made of sturdy wood that won’t crack under pressure.
- Frame. The frame used throughout the bed is made of black powder-coated steel. This is a reinforced type of steel that is common in sturdy bed frames, as it is difficult to bend out of shape and can hold weight without warping.
- Headboard. The Cozey Ara Bed always features an upholstered headboard, but at the core of the headboard is a sturdy plywood frame.
- Slats. The slats across the bottom of the bed make it unnecessary to use a traditional foundation. These slats are made of LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) with nylon straps. LVL is an engineered wood that is up to 3 times stronger than traditional lumber, so your bed will hold up ot use over time.
- Drawer Panel. If you choose to get the storage option to customize your Cozey Ara Bed, the drawer panel is made with 100% plywood.

Customization Options
There are a host of customization options available for this bed frame, which really make it stand out among others in this space. You can choose your colour and fabric, bed frame style, storage or standard options, headboard style, and stitching.
For colours and fabrics, you have a total of six colour options across four fabrics. Aquaforte, a proprietary water and stain-repellent fabric, is available in Snowdrift. You can choose Boucle and its one colour option (Cloud). There are two colours available for the Chenille fabric: Cobblestone and Sage. Finally, there are two colours for their Performance Fabric, including Flax Haven and Silken Sand. Different headboard and surround options may not be available in all fabric options, so make sure to check to see if your favourite option is available with all the features you need.
Next, you can choose whether you want your frame surround to be rounded or square. This only affects the look of the pieces. You can also choose to add hidden storage drawers; if you choose to add storage, it increases the cost. You’ll get four storage drawers that slide under the bed (two on each side). If you don’t want that storage, the ‘Regular’ option is still available.
Next, you can choose the style of your headboard. You can choose the Round or Square style to match your surround, but there’s also a Pillow option (which is a cushioned, upholstered headboard) and the Extended headboard, which is large enough in either size to provide a backdrop for your bedside tables.
Each of these types comes with different seam stitching finishes. The Round Headboard is only available with a Regular Seam. The Square Headboard is available in a Regular Seam or French Seam. The Pillow Headboard is only available with the Regular and French Seams, while the Extended Headboard is only available in the French and Channel Tufted Seam options.

The ability to customize the look of your bed frame and the fabric of your covers is huge for a bed frame. The option to include storage drawers if you want them is notable as well.
As far as compatibility, the base of this bed is slat-based. The bottom panel that holds your mattress is made of Laminated Veneer Lumbar slats, which is stronger than traditional lumber. The slats are wide enough and placed closely enough that this bed is compatible with all memory foam mattresses, as well as hybrid mattresses.
Assembly
Assembly of the Cozey Ara Bed is simple, though it’s a little more difficult than your standard bed frame because of the included headboard as well as the covers that go over the pieces of the frame.
