The roots of Cheemo go back to 1972 when Walter Makowecki founded Heritage Foods Ltd. The goal of the company was to provide consumers with high-quality, delicious perogies at a reasonable cost. This is still the aim of the company that remains family-owned, now led by Joe Makowecki, the founder’s son.
Today, Heritage Frozen Foods are produced under the Cheemo brand in a state-of-the-art food processing facility in Edmonton, Alberta. The teams, including production, quality, and management, are always working together for the same main goal: to bring the consumer the best-tasting pergories.
Cheemo Perogies are available in stores across Canada as well as in some parts of the United States.
