Saute-Mouton is a Canadian company making boots in Quebec City. The company was started by Jacinthe Bergeron, whose father worked in the shoe industry, in 1997. Her first boots were designed for kids but following growing demand for boots for men and women, the company stopped making boots for kids in 2001.

All Saute-Mouton boots are made from scratch in Canada by 30 skilled craftspeople. While many other boot makers may assemble boots in Canada with other prior steps outsourced, Saute-Mouton performs every step of the production in-house. Another factor that sets them apart is that retailers can build their own lineup and get shoes they know their customers will love.
