COWS has been making ice cream in Canada since 1983 using an old-fashioned family recipe that originated in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. In a very short time, more and more people discovered COWS ice cream and the company had to increase production. In its 40+ years in business, COWS has become a Prince Edward Island symbol. They now also make award-winning cheese in addition to their classic ice cream.

Despite the growth, COWS still uses the same recipes and ingredients when it makes over 30 flavours which are all produced in Charlottetown. The ice creams are handmade using milk from Prince Edward Island and include 16% butterfat. The ingredients are then churned slowly to ensure each bite is creamy and packed with flavour.
