George C. Kirk’s is a family-owned maker of handmade shoes, slippers, moccasins, and the like. They base their designs on the designs their grandfather used during the Great Depression but updated for the modern era. The cutting, assembling, and sewing are all done by hand.

The company was started by the current owners’ grandfather who made work boots in the US. The business was passed to George Kirk, the current owners’ father in January 2000. George began making sheepskin slippers, moccasins, and boots, which he sold at local Farmers’ Markets. Since George passed away in August 2012, the company has been operated by his three daughters.
