Abokichi is a Japan inspired food brand based in Canada. They started in farmer’s markets in Toronto. Since then, they have expanded their business and products, and their business is now a thriving brand. Abokichi’s OKAZU is a chili oil which got the 2020 sofi award and featured by NY times in 2021. This chili oil was created when the founders sought to create a natural alternative to imported oils with preservatives and other chemicals. Their natural recipe became an instant classic.

They also sell Instant miso soup, wheat-free ramen kits, and more. Their Instant miso soup is the only hot fermented beverage in the market made with the byproduct of sake brewing (Upcycled). Their wheat-free ramen meal kit, released in 2021, is also Upcycled. Abokichi sets upcycling as a core pillar of the company’s product development to reduce food waste. They leads the Asian aisle by innovation in Canada’s super markets and gourmet stores.
